Created in 2010, the 10K Initiative is an extension of the Student Development Directive. The YCC assigns $10,000 of its annual budget to be distributed to one or more student-proposed initiatives that will improve life on campus. Members of the 10K Initiative Exploratory Committee, comprised of YCC members and students at-large, will select 5 ideas that are then presented to the entire student body for a vote. The winning idea will be implemented! By voting, you have a say in crucial changes that are taking place at Yale. In the past, the 5K and 10K Initiatives have funded projects such as Trash to Treasure, Summer Storage and the Bass DVD Library.
