Dining
The Yale College Council and Yale Dining have fostered a strong relationship over the past several years. This collaboration has brought you Iron Chef, Fall Festival, Food Week, Farm Tours, expanded hours in residential colleges, and late-plate meal options. Last year, Yale’s 3rd Annual Iron Chef attracted over 100 participants and over 1,200 spectators and Farm Tours brought more than 300 students to the farms where local fruits and vegetables are grown to be served in the Dining Halls. Look for new events and initiatives in 2011-2012 including:
- Working with the Yale Food Coalition to expand Food Week and educate both students and the community about healthy and sustainable meal choices
- Expanded meal swipe options at Durfee’s, Thain Family Cafe (Bass Café) & The KBT Café.
- New meal plan options for undergraduates living off campus
