Gender Neutral Housing

The Yale College Council has been working towards providing the student body with opt-in Gender Neutral Housing for awhile and gained a big victory in 2010 when Gender Neutral Housing was introduced for the senior class. In 2011-2012 The Gender Neutral Housing Committee worked towards introducing the initiative to the junior class by interviewing those who have lived in the suites in the past and meeting with the administration. The committee introduced a report to Yale Corporation in November of 2011, which can be found here. Thanks to the committee’s hard work, Juniors now too have the opportunity to opt-into Gender Neutral Housing.
