Renaming a Historical Building

STUDENT INPUT WANTED: Last month, President Salovey announced the formation of a Committee to Establish Principles on Renaming. This committee is asked to consider a question of importance to all of us: “What are the principles that should guide a decision for renaming a historical building?” John Witt (TD ’94 and Allen H. Duffy Class of 1960 Professor of Law) is chairing the committee. He and other members of the committee are visiting all residential colleges for a conversation with students, in hopes that they can learn your views on this issue. See times listed below.

Professor Witt also has open discussion hours every Friday in the Pierson common room, from 1:00-2:00pm. He would love to spend this time talking to individuals or small groups about their opinions, concerns, ideas, skepticisms, and hopes for the committee. No sign up is necessary. People are also welcome to email dasia.moore@yale.edu at any time with questions.
