Meet Julian and Maya…

…the 2023-2024 YCC President and Vice President! As leaders of Yale’s undergraduate student government, they are committed to helping all students participate in creating our community on campus.

Julian Suh-Toma (he/him) is the first YCC President from Benjamin Franklin College. He is a junior majoring in sociology. Outside of YCC, he is a member of the Asian American Students Alliance (AASA), serves as both IM coordinator and CCE for Franklin, and enjoys playing on Club Soccer. Maya Fonkeu (she/her) is the first Black female YCC Vice President. She is a junior in Grace Hopper College, majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. Outside of YCC, Maya also works as a CCE. On campus, she has also participated in theater, and you can usually find her in the Acorn or the Hopper buttery. You can reach her at maya.fonkeu@yale.edu.
